As part of our creative push to develop fresh, new, dimensional work we’ve been exploring new ways to work with our favorite materials-Japanese paperclay and the circular forms you may recognize from our Disk and Petal series. Out of that experimentation came Hemiforms, a collection of sculptural, parabolic, Japanese paperclay shapes layered with encaustic wax. These pieces are designed to bring both softness and structure, creating quiet rhythm and dimension whether on panels or installed directly on the wall.

As with most of our work, the scale, finishes, and layouts can be tailored to your project. Whether you prefer soft tonal palettes or bold, rich tones, this series adapts beautifully to the needs of any space.
Below are two layout concepts we recently developed for a client exploring a direct-to-wall installation, though these designs also work seamlessly mounted on panels for easy-to-ship, ready-to-hang dimensional artwork.

We’d love to explore how Hemiforms could take shape in your space-let’s connect and explore the possibilities together.
