It’s been a busy summer here at the studio! As I’m updating our Portfolio with recently completed commissions I thought it would be fun to do a little round up of just some of what we’ve been working on. Above is a large trio of custom “Petals” in natural clay with a range of green watercolor finished accents. Love this format!
This earth-toned, landscape inspired Fringe variation was a fun departure after wrapping up a massive series of metallics!
Something totally different! Inspired by a previous series we created in a muted, neutral palette, this sea life inspired sculpted encaustic + paper work is now adding some whimsy to a fun project in Florida.
We’ve done several really beautiful custom Lamina style works-some going BIG. Working in lots of greens and blues-always a welcome palette that works beautifully with the finish of the natural clay.
A warm, earth toned Drops commission-soon to be installed here in Atlanta.
A particularly rich and peaceful pair of shaped Strata works in blues.
The magic of transforming canvas with plaster and paint to create these Dimensional Burst pieces never gets old. Nary a scrap of canvas goes to waste!
A gorgeous Portal we juuuuust wrapped that is about to head off to framing. Hard to tell in this pic but the rich blues are accented by hints of iridescence. Hopefully eye-catching and a fun feature for the pediatric healthcare space where it will be installed.
These direct prints from our Ink and Indigo Editions line are finished with encaustic and truly turned out so beautiful, and they are indistinguishable from my original encaustics-it’s wild! These even got their own special shipping crate to be sure the encaustic surface arrived perfect in the summer heat!
Our other big focus has been on the Ink and Indigo Editions expansion. Thanks so much for all the positive feedback on our new artist additions-Julie Marabelle and Crysta Luke! We just wrapped up a photoshoot for the next artist we’ll be sharing next week!
